CHANGES IN THE LIVE ALIVE TEAM - October 28, 2007
You might have noticed that a lot has happened in these last few months.
Both Hugo and Wim needed more time for other things in life, so they had
to make the decision to leave the team. We wish them both all the best.
In the meantime we have been quite busy. Erik and Jeanine keep the show
running, with assistance of a.o. Edwin and trainee Tico. Tico wants to
stay with Live Alive after his training period, and we are very happy
about that. Welcome to the show Tico! We will expand the team some more
shortly. More about that later.
The expanding of the team does not only concern the show hosts. The technical
team will get some more hands as well. Rob, Marcel and Tom can use it:
after a relatively quiet summer, we will go full speed ahead on live performances.
Please check back to this page frequently for the latest news.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - January 2, 2007
First of all we like to wish everybody a properous, happy, healthy and
of course a musical 2007! 2006 was a special year for us, not just because
of the enormous acts that performed in 2006, but also because of all the
people who made the programme possible. For different circumstances people
left the programme but we also welcomed several new ones. Our youngest
addition to the team is Tom van Leeuwen, Check out the page "The
Live Alive Team" for his profile soon! Looking forward, our programming
is already full throughout half of 2007. Again, in 2007, we can welcome
"old friends" international acts. But let us not forget that
in feb. 2007 the programme will celebrate it's first decennium! This calls
for a special party! Since a couple of months a lot has changed inside
the WOS, almost the whole network consists of volunteers. This means a
small number of adjustments for the programme, of which the listener will
not notice anything. But behind the scenes all these people are working
hard to make the WOS a fully capable and noticable network. Through this
webpage we would like to thank all these people and of course wishing
them a happy new year ! But let's not forget the most important of all-
YOU! All listeners! Where ever you are, we would like to wish you a happy
new year!

RICH WYMAN LIVE - March 20, 2005
Live Alive is very proud to announce that Rich Wyman will performing in
the ultimate radio rockshow. Passion and perseverance are the force behind
Rich Wyman’s music and life. Piano-driven tunes and heart-felt lyrics
have garnered the artist international recognition as well as five ASCAP
Awards. A master of his instrument and a powerful vocalist, Wyman’s
on-stage presence has mesmerized audiences from The Ritz in New York City
to sold-out crowds of 250,000 in The Netherlands. On the verge of releasing
his fifth and highly anticipated album, “Factory,” this piano
man proves that his superior musicianship is matched only by creativity,
soul and an ability to never ever quit. Performing in Park City clubs,
Wyman won a best keyboards WAM (Wasatch Area Music) Award and caught the
ear of the legendary guitarist, Eddie Van Halen. In 1993, Van Halen recorded
with Wyman and co-produced his second CD, “Fatherless Child.”
His success soon began to spread to England, Belgium, Luxembourg and
The Netherlands. On his second night on tour in Holland, he landed a record
contract. His songs, “So What” and “The Little Things,”
topped the charts, making Rich Wyman a Dutch household name. He produced
his third CD, “Where We Stand” and for the next six years,
commuted to The Netherlands, touring, recording and meeting the press.
The Olympic Games brought the world to Wyman for a change in 2002. Opening
for Alanis Morisette and the Goo Goo Dolls at the award ceremonies, Wyman’s
band brought down the house. He returned to The Netherlands to promote
his fourth CD, “Live From the Heart,” appearing in massive
Dutch festivals: Hunten Pop, Bos Pop and Park Pop. Touring with The Wild
Romance (Dutch legend, Herman Brood’s band), Wyman discovered a
whole new audience for his music. His unique cover of the late Brood’s
song “Sleepin’ Bird” left audiences in awe, turning
it into a hit with Brood fans and Wyman fans alike. “It was amazing,”
he recalled. Auspicious Records partnered with Rough Trade Records on
a two-year contract and promotional tour in May 2005. His fifth CD, “Factory”
showcases Wyman’s matured talent and his passion for the environment.
The album is scheduled for release in March 2005.
UPCOMING LIVE ACTS - March 20, 2005
Live Alive proudly presents the upcoming radiogigs of incredible liveacts.
First off all a great band called Jesus Volt has confirmed that during
their European Tour this band from France will performing in Live Alive.
Jesus Volt's musical world could march behind the New Rock Blues banner.
Proudly showing the outrageous sounds of the 70's, drawing their inspiration
from the blues of Chess time, taking what is hottest from the Stax label,
they produce a dirty and urban sound which RL Burnside, John Campbell
or John Spencer Blues Explosion would not disavow. Jesus Volt under this
label, appear as a combo, a real melting pot like their music.
And Tony Spinner, musician, guitarist and vocalist is not only a blues
player through and through who lives and breaths blues music, he is also
blessed with an incredible voice as well as an amazing guitar technique.
That’s what makes him such an exciting performer to see live! Such
is the respect he has with the musician fraternity in the U.S. that Tony
has joined the grammy award winning Toto band and has performed on all
their shows since 1999, singing background vocals (high harmonies) plus
electric and acoustic guitar. He now sings lead vocals with TOTO on their
big hit “I can’t stop Loving You”. He appears on the
Toto CD “Livefields” and on the Toto “Live in Amsterdam”
DVD released in September 2003. When Tony Spinner is not touring with
TOTO he plays in the United States and The Netherlands with his own group
The Tony Spinner Band
